July Thunder Full Moon

As a child growing up in eastern North Carolina, I quickly developed a love of thunderstorms. The rumble that would shake my very bones, followed up by a cleansing rain, gave me a sense of excitement and peace all at once. Perhaps it’s this early experience with “the rumble” that caused me to fall so deeply in love with the Gong Song.
To help celebrate this July’s Thunder Full Moon at Yoga Deza, Joe Bender will be drumming with us! Just as thunderstorms can clear the air and bring vibrancy to our world, being bathed in the rumble of gongs and drums can rejuvenate our spirits and help new illuminations arise.
You will begin the Candlelit Journey with deep breathing, gentle stretches and setting your intentions. Then you will snuggle comfortably on your mat and let the earthy rhythms of the drums mingle with the otherworldly sounds of the gongs to create a transformational journey. A gentle return will complete this magical evening.
Come join us for a truly unique sonic experience and drink up the inspiration!

Solstice and Sonic Metals

The summer solstice is Wednesday, June 21. As the energy of the seasons shifts into summer, how would you like to shift your energy to embrace this change?
We each have our own inner knowing that can take us to places that are receptive to these changes. This wisdom does not come from the thinking, ordinary mind, but rather through altered states of consciousness–a state of mind that speaks a different language than that of thought. When you participate in a Gong Song Journey, you are able to relax so deeply that you can easily access your sacred wisdom.
Bring your friends and join me Wednesday evening and bathe in the beautiful and powerful vibrations of the gongs, singing bowls and bells. Allow the energy of the Solstice to help you on your path to healing and wholeness. Choose either 6:00-7:00 or 7:30-8:30 at the Little Blue House, 216 W. South St., Fayetteville. Mats are provided, and to insure your comfort bring a pillow and blanket. Donations are appreciated.

Sacred Portals

Ancient doorways, or portals, have always stirred my imagination. Who has traveled through them and what is there to discover on the other side?
We each have our own inner portal that can take us to places that access our soul’s deepest knowing. We enter these portals not with the thinking, ordinary mind, but rather through altered states of consciousness–a state of mind that speaks a different language than that of thought. Participating in a Gong Song Journey is an effective way to reach these non-ordinary states of consciousness. As we bathe in the sacred and powerful vibrations of the gongs, singing bowls and bells, our consciousness is shifted into a place of healing and wholeness.
Join me and my round friends this Wednesday, June 14, to explore your inner portal. Choose either 6:00-7:00 or 7:30-8:30 at the Little Blue House, 216 W. South St., Fayetteville. Mats are provided, and to insure your comfort bring a pillow and blanket. Donations are appreciated. Call or text to reserve your spot, 479-521-3123.

I am the Moon’s dwelling place!

June’s Full Moon and Candlelit Gong Journey will be in the astrological sign of Gemini, the sign of the twins. Having been born a Gemini, I know all too well that this energy can enhance our ability to see many sides of an issue, or it can drive us crazy trying to make a decision!
Our intention this month will be to embrace all of our many viewpoints and struggles. As we journey and realize that “I am the Moon’s dwelling place”, perhaps these conflicts will give way to a sense of deep inner peace. Come find out what alchemy occurs for you when the good vibrations of these ancient transformational instruments are experienced during the expansive full moon!!! Woooohoooo!

Gong Songs–the next 3 weeks

Hi sweet Gong Lovers:
I just wanted to let you know that there will not be Gong Song Journeys at the Little Blue House for the next 3 weeks. 😱

The good news is I am teaming up with Yoga Deza to offer a series called “Full Moon Candlelit Gong Journey”. The first one will be on Wednesday, May 10, the Flower Moon. Our intention–what do you want to see bloom in your life–will be intensified with the good vibrations of the gongs and full moon! Yoga Deza has a sweet studio on 622 W. Sycamore Street and I hope you (and your friends and family) will join me there at 7:30.
Then, the following week I have an opportunity to perform with Third Coast Percussion! There will be an outdoor performance of John Luther Adams’ “Inuksuit” as part of the WAC Artosphere program. This free performance will be Friday, May 19, at the Botanical Gardens. You will be able to stroll among the different performers as the piece unfolds. I’m excited to be a part of such a unique experience!! Again, I hope you can join in this too–bring your family and friends.
Thank you for your support and love of the gongsπŸ’“πŸ“€πŸ’“
Blessings and namaste,
Jamie
