My paternal grandmother always ended her cards and letters with “Oceans of Love, and a Kiss on Each Wave”.  To this day my aunts, uncles, cousins and I continue this tradition.

I was lucky to have a mother and two grandmothers who loved me more than the waves on the oceans.  Of course we had our tense moments, and I’m sure my behavior was a bit trying at times, but we had an unwavering love for each other.
