Thank you to everyone who came to Gong Song at the Fayetteville Movement Festival this weekend! I had a wonderful time seeing folks from previous years, reconnecting and reminiscing about the memories we’ve created together, and meeting new ones this year who brought their energy and enthusiasm to the event. And a special thanks to Annie for helping setup/breakdown all my “heavy metal”!!!

I particularly enjoyed all of your questions and sharing your journeys at the end of the session, as it created a rich and engaging atmosphere. It was fascinating to hear about the different ways the sounds and vibrations shaped your experiences. This exchange not only enhanced our discussion but also fostered a sense of community and connection among us. The openness with which everyone participated was truly heartwarming 💖

Hi Everyone!

I am scheduled to facilitate a sound bath with my gongs and singing bowls on Saturday, July 11th at 4:00 PM. Because my gear is quite heavy and delicate, I am looking for an awesome volunteer to help me out with the logistics for the session.

The Details:

 What: Help me unload my gear from my car, set it up before the session, take it down afterward, and reload it into my car.

Time Commitment: We will start the process around 2:30 PM and should be completely finished around 6:30 PM on Saturday.

The Perk: In exchange for your hands and muscles, you will receive a Buddy Pass for the entire weekend festival!

If you are available and want a free pass to experience the rest of the festival’s amazing lineup, I would love to team up.

My paternal grandmother always ended her cards and letters with “Oceans of Love, and a Kiss on Each Wave”.  To this day my aunts, uncles, cousins and I continue this tradition.

I was lucky to have a mother and two grandmothers who loved me more than the waves on the oceans.  Of course we had our tense moments, and I’m sure my behavior was a bit trying at times, but we had an unwavering love for each other.

I am steadily recovering from my shoulder surgery, and although I’m not ready to transport my gongs to other studios for group sessions, I am offering private Sound Healing sessions in my office!!!

We are unique vibratory beings, and we each require unique vibratory healing. One-on-one Sound Journeys are a great way to have a session crafted for the energies you want to shift or heal. While comfortably lying on a massage table, clients have found being surrounded by the soothing sounds and vibrations of large gongs, melodic tones of Tibetan singing bowls (which I sometimes place directly on the body) and interesting accents of other unique instruments, a safe sanctuary is created for what wants to unfold.

These mysterious sounds can evoke memories, images, emotions, physical sensations and/or deep deep stillness. Hi Sweet Gong Song Fans:

During the last Gong Song in October, I said I would be back in November. Well, that didn’t happen!!!

While I was on a wonderful family reunion/vacation, I severely tore some rotator cuff muscles in my already injured shoulder. Upon returning home, seeing doctors and having multiple scans, the best option for a long term healthy shoulder is to have a Reverse Shoulder Replacement. That will happen next week.

The recovery process is a slow, long journey. I’m actually looking forward to having the time to rest and dive deeper into my explorations with sound healing! There are books I want to finish, and some on-line courses I’ve signed up for. I anticipate that in a few months my shoulder will be out of pain and working smoothly. My gongs and singing bowls (and other fun instruments) will be a part of my healing, and my understanding and appreciation for them will be deepened.

Hopefully by mid to late spring I will resume offering private Sound sessions, as well as small group sessions. You will be the first to know when this happens!

Meanwhile, enjoy the holidays, however that takes shape for you. Remember to breathe deeply often. Take time to ground yourself by spending time in Nature, and take a little journey to the Cosmos! ✨
