August Full Moon and Gong Song

LaLuna has been our constant companion for eons–she both lights the way and invites us into the darkness. The Full Moon illuminates our desires and gives us the energy to manifest them. The mystical sound vibrations of Gongs, Singing Bowls and Bells create a cocoon of sacred space. There we leave chronological time and enter the timeless realm of dreams, intuition and unseen energies. After setting an intention, what revelations will occur for you when the good vibrations of these transformational instruments are experienced during the shimmering Full Moon?

In August, the Full Corn Moon signifies the time that the grains in the fields began to ripen. Our question for this Gong Song is “what has been ripening for you?” Now is a potent time to reflect on this, and to consider the purity of energy you allow into your space.

Each month we will have a different focus and intention. Bring a comfy mat, pillow and blanket–you want to be at ease for the hour long Gong Song!

July Thunder Full Moon & Gongs

As a child growing up in eastern North Carolina, I quickly developed a love of thunderstorms. The rumble that would shake my very bones, followed up by a cleansing rain, gave me a sense of excitement and peace all at once. Perhaps it’s this early experience with “the rumble” that caused me to fall so deeply in love with the Gong Song. Just as thunderstorms can clear the air and bring vibrancy to our world, being bathed in the rumble of gongs and singing bowls can rejuvenate our spirits and help new illuminations arise.

To celebrate this July’s Thunder Full Moon we will begin the Journey with deep breathing, gentle stretches and setting your intentions. Then you will snuggle comfortably on your mat and let the otherworldly sounds of the gongs create a sacred space that allows you to explore your inner world. A gentle return will complete this magical evening.

Come join us for a truly unique sonic experience and drink up the inspiration!

Thank You and Goodbye!

The Full Moon in March, in all her radiance, reminds us that all of life is ever changing. And so it is with Yoga Deza also! Come join me, Jamie White, and my ensemble of Gongs and Singing Bowls as we say goodbye to the sweet space that has nurtured us in so many ways. The intention will be to say “thank you and goodbye” to all that we wish to release, and to welcome with an open heart all the new opportunities that are coming our way.

You may wonder how can the Gongs and Singing Bowls help facilitate this? The beautiful sounds and multi-tonal vibrations alter our consciousness into being in a more relaxed state. There we can access the Divine Wisdom that is at the core of our being in that still, peaceful place. The good vibrations also help loosen up stuck energy and create more space in our bodies and energy fields.

This will be the last event in the Sycamore location and will be the perfect way to say goodbye & prepare for the next Full Moon celebration in the new studio!

We will begin the evening with deep breathing, gentle stretches and setting an intention that is right for you. Then you will comfortably settle into your mat as the Gong Song helps you to experience what wants to unfold. A gentle return completes this magical journey!

Good Vibrations!

Hi Gong Lovers 🌟

I am back from my trip to India and have been thinking about the schedule for the evening Gong Song Meditations at my office. Due to work and family commitments, I have decided to have them once a month, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This schedule will start April 11.

I know some of you who come regularly will be disappointed and I truly regret that. But there will still be opportunities for you to get the good vibrations. I am continuing the Full Moon and Gong Song at Yoga Deza–this month it will be Saturday, March 31 at 7:30pm. I’ll let you know the date and time in the months to come. And the annual Goddess Festival is coming up and I will be having a Gong Song Saturday, March 24 at 3:00pm (more on that later!)

And don’t forget, you can schedule a private Gong and Singing Bowl session with me in my massage room! There is space in there for 2 or 3 friends, and you can share the cost ($60 per hour).

I look forward to seeing you soon!

With much appreciation,

Jamie White
