Coming Tuesday—5 Gongs & a Labyrinth

The Earth is You. You are the Earth.
When you realize there is no separation, you fall completely in love with this beautiful planet!

Earth Day Celebration Labyrinth Walk & Gong Song

5:30 – 7:30 pm

We often forget that the planet we are living on has given us all the elements that make up our bodies. The water in our flesh, our bones and all the microscopic cells inside our bodies all come from the earth and are part of the earth. The earth is not just the environment we live in. We are the earth and we are always carrying her within us.

As we mindfully walk on the labyrinth we can send our love to our Mother Earth with every step. How do we do this? There are many ways. When we practice beautifully walking the path, we massage the earth with our feet and plant seeds of joy with each step. We can visualize flowers blooming under each step the moment our foot touches the ground leaving behind beautiful fields of flowers everywhere we walk. Imagine kissing the earth with your feet. The possibilities are endless!!

To further enhance the experience, you will be walking among the the mysterious sounds and vibrations of Gongs, Singing Bowls and other mystical instruments. This is a great visceral reminder that everything in the universe is vibrating and the vibrations we send out affect the whole.

Sending this blessing in community reminds us of our powerful connection to each other and to the earth. Even though the labyrinth at St. Paul’s is indoors, we can still feel the connection to the earth beneath the floor. I hope you will join us on this special day!

Come to the Parish Hall between 5:30 and 7:00 pm. Being fashionably late will help create a more spacious walk. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the walk. Chairs will be available for you to sit and enjoy.

Blessings,
Jamie

Save the date & the Big Kahuna

Please save Tuesday, April 22, 2025, for the Earth Day Labyrinth and Gong Song!!!
It will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church from 5:30 – 7:30pm. More details soon.

THE BIG NEWS 🥁 is I will be bringing my 40” gong I affectionately call the ”Big Kahuna”! I recently purchased a portable stand for it, so now the Big Kahuna can join in the soundscape! (I will still be bringing the other 4 gongs you have seen/heard/felt before.)

Thich Nhat Hahn said, “When we practice walking meditation beautifully, we massage the earth with our feet and plant seeds of joy and happiness with each step.” I hope to see you on the Path of the Labyrinth!

Blessings,
Jamie

Thank You 🙏🏼

I appreciate everyone who came to St. Paul’s tonight to walk the Labyrinth and enjoy the sounds and vibrations of the Gongs and Singing Bowls.

I look forward to gathering again soon!

Blessings and Namaste

Labyrinth & Gong Song February

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall
224 N East Ave., Fayetteville, AR
Tuesday, February 11, 2025
5:30 – 7:30 pm

We invite you to join us for the February Labyrinth Walk and Gong Song.  February is Black History Month and Valentines Day.  This is the perfect opportunity to contemplate love and compassion for ourselves and those who are different from us.

The Labyrinth is a powerful spiritual tool whose path leads us to our own center—back to our soul—that deep, quiet, knowing sense within.  Unlike a maze where there are confusing intersections and dead ends, the Labyrinth is an ancient tool that allows participants to relax and simply follow the well defined path in to the center and back out again.   When walked in community, it is a reminder that though we may be in different places in our lives (along the path), we walk a shared path.

To further enhance the experience, you will be walking among the mysterious sounds and vibrations of Gongs, Singing Bowls and other musical metals.  In this safe,  contemplative and relaxed state it is possible to connect to the Spirit of Love that enlivens us all!

Come to the Parish Hall between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.  Being fashionably late will help create a more spacious walk.  It takes about 30 minutes to complete the walk, and chairs will be available for you to sit and enjoy.

Blessings,

Mary Miller and Jamie White

Warm Body, Mind and Spirit

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the Parish Hall is warm and delightful!!!

Please join us walking the Labyrinth in community while contemplating the inspiring messages of Dr. Martin Luther King. As you walk, the soothing sounds and vibrations of the Gongs and Singing Bowls will wash over you. Come any time between 6 – 8 pm for this heart warming gathering.

”Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. He who loves is a participant in the being of God.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

New Gong & Workshop

A few days ago I went to Memphis to attend a Sound Mediation with Mike Tamburo. It was amazing!!!

The next day I had a private Sound Journey with Nancy Pettit, co-owner of the Memphis Drum Shop & Gong Chamber. That was amazing too!!!

Then, I was taken on a magical shopping trip in the Gong Chamber with Jim Pettit, the other co-owner. I choose a 34” Paiste Symphonic gong that sounds wonderful with my 32” Wind gong that you are so familiar with.

This Saturday, 11/11, I will debut the new gong along with my other gongs, singing bowls, bells etc. at the Arkansas Yoga Center, Kundalini Yoga and Gong Song workshop. There are only 2 spots left, so if you’re interested please sign up soon!

I hope to see you soon and share our good vibrations!

Blessings and Namasté.

Spread Your Wings

Spread Your Wings!

So often we feel constricted when we hear disturbing news or the difficulties our friends and family are facing. Sometimes our own challenges can cause us to hold our breaths and tighten our shoulders. And sometimes we may feel like we just need to “get outside our box” and experience something new.

People have frequently commented that participating in a Gong Song has left them feeling open and expanded!! The daily tensions and worries seem to melt away with the many sounds and vibrations of the Gongs, Singing Bowls, Bells and other instruments. Feeling this expanded state during a Gong Song reminds our body/mind/spirit that this is how we want to be, and we can more easily return there on our own.

I invite you to join me and Spread Your Wings during this expansive Gong Song, Thursday, October 19, 6-7:30 pm at Day by Day Healing Center.  The journey will begin with deep breathing, setting an intention and settling into the soundscape.  A gentle return (and chocolate!) will complete this magical time together!

Gong Song as Remover of Obstacles

I love the image of Ganesh, the elephant headed Hindu deity that clears away obstacles and opens the way for us to move forward in Life. It has been my experience that participating in a Gong Song can have that rejuvenating affect too! The multidimensional sounds and vibrations of the Gongs, Singing Bowls, Bells and other instruments calms our chatty minds and soothes our bodies. This relaxed state allows our deeper, intuitive wisdom to bubble up, and solutions emerge to situations that we have been pondering and wanting to change.

I invite you to join me for this transformative Gong Song, Thursday, September 21, 6-7:30 pm at Day by Day Healing Center. The journey will begin with deep breathing, setting an intention and settling into the soundscape. A gentle return (and chocolate!) will complete this magical time together!
